Felted piece . Inspiration a beautiful sunset.

Felt foiled with copper then embellished with silk fibres. Further embellishment using hand stitching, lace and sequins.

Sari silk strips and silk fibres embellished onto felt. Embellished felt flowers and beading added using hand stitching. Metallic thread machined onto background also.

Silk strips and silk fibres embellished onto felt . One piece has been overlayed with organza as I didn't have any chiffon then embellished again

Embellish, Stitch & Enrich

For Christmas I received a Janome embellishing machine and am starting an online course and started lesson one of Embellish, Stitch and Enrich with Dale Rollinson at Thread Studio
So far have broken a few needles and thinking I should purchase a fully interchangable 5 needle part for the machine. Loving the effects of using silks on felt and looking forward to lots more experimentation and new techniques.
