Hello, Long time since I last added to my blog. What an eventful year 2012 turned into being.
March saw us enjoying a long earned break on the Gold Coast followed by 10 days around Margaret River and Albany with family.
At this time the Motel which was placed on the Market Christmas 2011 had an offer which continued on into August with us finally selling . We now live in Waubra about 15 mins from Wendouree, Ballarat. Country living has been a good sea change so to speak.
Closer to family and friends. Christmas spent at our house with family was tinged with sadness, my 94 yr old father passing away on Boxing Day.
Robin is now working at a local Car Dealership as a Service advisor leaving here at 6.30 am and returning around 6ish each evening.
It's now time to make a start back on my many crafts .

Project 4 Masterpieces
I machined stitched two pieces , on of the water painting and the other a photo of the still life for my Folio Piece. Both were done on Inkjet Fabric.

I have used water colour, wax crayons and oil crayons in my paintings of the still life
Project 2
This is the piece I created for my Folio piece, Project 2 Machine Embroidery , Warrnambool TAFE. I have used cutback, applique and free machining. Fabrics used are printed chinese satin, plain satins and silk .
Using Solvy
Have used techniques from a Jan Beany book to create this piece by laying pieces of yarn and fabric between two layers of solvy before adding using free machining to create flowers and leaves.
Rusting and Tyvek Challenges
Monday Textile Group. May and June Challenges to use Tyvek and Rusting Techniques.
The top photo I have adhered painted tyvek to synthetic felt , heavily machined stitched with metallic thread before applying the heat gun.
